Grillin’ & Chillin’ with Dad

Father’s Day in Your Community

Father’s Day is a celebration of all the hard work fathers put in, without asking for anything in return… and they deserve to be celebrated! Father’s Day is a great time to assemble your homeowners for fun in the clubhouse, and our Lifestyle Managers love to throw family events like this where the community comes together.

The Food

There’s nothing better than a classic BBQ by the community pool to celebrate the fathers in the neighborhood while still entertaining the rest of your homeowners.

It isn’t a BBQ without grilling! Depending on the number of attendees and budget, you can go classic with hotdogs and burgers with your staple BBQ sides or you can mix it up with kabobs and fun foods.  Ask your residents to bring a dish to make the work load and budget lower for you, the Lifestyle Manager, and it can be an interesting way to boost attendance.

And you can’t forget dessert… these “grilled” cupcakes are so creative your residents won’t be able to resist talking about them!

The Crafts

While socializing and eating is great for adults, the kids of your community can make some crafts to show their dads some love and appreciation on this special day.

To go along with the BBQ theme, purchase plain white plastic platters for the kids to paint and leave their handprints on.  They can give it to their dad as a personalized grill plate made from the heart.

The Desserts

If you’re aiming for a different twist on a Father’s Day event or you just don’t have a large attendance or budget for a traditional BBQ, Donuts with Dad is a fun event that you can host for your community at all hours of the day and it is a cheaper alternative.

It’s a great option because you can host this event in the morning as a breakfast event or a nighttime dessert event.  There isn’t a huge cost for food and the decorations and crafts are simple and fun.

Consider having the kids all decorate plates as donuts and write what their Dad’s “sprinkle” them with.  Add it onto a wall of “Dozens of things we love about our Dad” and it can double as a craft and a decoration for the event!

We hope your Father’s Day Lifestyle Event is filled with smiles and great memories!
